why did the director have her wear so little? The development is kinda sudden for her character at this point of the story. Big tease.

Oh come on, Sarah's worn less than this around Chuck. Remember Versus the Truth? Or the undies shower scene in Fat Lady? Also it's no more risque than the T-shirt and boy shorts she wore in the beginning of Versus the Lethal Weapon.
